4 Months Old!

Landon is 4 months old today! Although I won't know his weight or length until his appointment next week on May 4th.

Just today he finally rolled over from his back to his tummy. He's been very close to doing it for a while but would only get to his side and then not be able to get all the way over. But he finally did it but I wasn't able to get any pictures of him.We also moved Landon to his crib finally. I was sad to see him get moved out of his Pack N Play, in the living room, but it was time. He is sleeping much better and Dylan doesn't wake him up for the most part anymore.

Landon is always smiling. Although he does burst into tears when he sees someone he doesn't recognize. He really likes his Jumperoo and is just now starting to realize that he is supposed to jump rather than just kind of swing around. He's been trying to get teeth for a couple of weeks now and is chewing on everything he can get his hands on and drooling everywhere. He has slept through the night a couple of times. His nighttime schedule is like clockwork and by 7 or 8pm he is in bed and wakes up at 6am on the dot most mornings, waking up once between 1-4am.

When he gets tired he loves to go in his swing (FINALLLLLY!!!) and he loves to be sung to. Starting at about 3 1/2 months old, when I sing to him he sings back to me which is so cute. He also has become way more vocal this last month or so.

Dylan has become very good with Landon. They are the best of buddies. Dylan is always wanting to hold him, play with him, talk to him and just always wanting to be with his brother.

We have not started cereal yet because Dylan has issues with it and we feel its best to just hold off a little longer until his 4 month appointment with the doctor and we will see what he has to say. He is currently in 3-6 month clothing, but closer to the 6 month side. He is wearing size 2 diapers that we are just finishing up and will be starting size 3's pretty soon.

Landon is such an easy going, go with the flow kind of baby!

Updates on Everything!

Well its way past time for an update. And although I should be cleaning or something exciting like that since Landon is sleeping and Dylan is contained in his highchair eating yogurt and watching Calliou I chose to update here!

Lets see! Landon is 4 days shy of 4 months! I'm so sad that he is getting so big. I want him to stay my baby forever but I also love how much he's grown and all the stuff he's doing. I'm not sure on his weight or height right now since its been almost 2 months since our last Dr's appointment. We tried to put him on the scale yesterday and it was right between 14 and 15lbs. I'm sort of surprised its not more but we'll see at his appointmentt on May 4th. He is just starting to get into 6 month clothes. He can still fit into some of the 3-6 months but it depends on the brand and what type of outfit it is.

Landon also had his last (or what we thought was his last!) hip appointment. He had his first set of x-rays! Then we headed over for his appointment. The Dr said his right hip's pelvic head (the bone that fits into the socket) was a little underdeveloped and still needed to be followed so another appointment and set of x-rays were set up for August.

He has been doing so well with sleeping at night. He is almost like clockwork although Dylan was the total opposite. Landon is in bed most nights by 8pm. Starting about 7:30 he starts rubbing his eyes and wants to eat and then he's out like a light! He has been sleeping from 8pm until 6am most days (maybe 75% of the time). The other nights hes still in bed by 8 but wakes up once around 2-3am, eats and goes right back to sleep until 6 or 7am.

During the day he is up and some days will take good naps and other days he just takes little 30 minute naps here and there. He loves to be on the ground either playing under his play mat or laying on his tummy trying to play with his toys. We got out Dylan's Jumperoo last week and Landon loves it! He looks like he's trying to do Riverdance the way his feet kick 90 miles an hour. I have a video and if I can figure out how to post it I will.

Dylan is doing so well! He is a great big brother and is always wanting to hold Landon. He loves to rub his cheeks. Although when Landon starts to cry Dylan yells "MOM!! Feed the baby!!!".

Dylan has turned into quite the artist! He especially loves to use sidewalk chalk outside. His latest picture was a picture of him and I couldn't believe he had drawn it himself! He is also really into puzzles and has quite a few he can do himself. Finally the weather has warmed up (90's today!!!!!) and we have been trying to get outside a lot. Last week we played with some water balloons and a good time was had by all! Later today I think we are going to go out and play in the hose if I can find some sunscreen.
Dylan had his 3 yr check up last week (only a few months late!). He was 40 inches and 40lbs, I think If I remember right. The doctor says he's right on track! And the Dr also confirmed what we had suspected! Dylan has to have his tonsils and adenoids out. If you have heard him breathe when hes sleeping you know what I'm talking about. He struggles so much with his breathing at night. So we have an appointment with the ENT doctor and will set up the appointment for the surgery. I of course am a wreck since I don't handle anything relating to doctors well and especially anything having to do with my first baby! Although it seems Dylan may have taken after me since he had to have some blood drawn after his appointment, of course I made Brendon take him in, and Brendon said after she was done Dylan told him "Daddy, I think I'm going to throw up!" Which of course is a famous saying from his Mom! When they came out Dylan was just green and clammy and looked terrible. After some BBQ chips and an orange juice he had perked up quite well and we went off to the mall for lunch and to play in the indoor play area.

Dylan is going to be starting his first "sports team" in a couple of weeks at the YMCA! He still has to decide between Flag Football or Outdoor Soccer. Then starting in June he can either do Indoor Soccer or T-Ball. He also will be starting preschool soon a few mornings a week. Part of it is to get him out of the house and the other reason is so that he can play with some kids his own age. He's been asking for months now to go to "School" so here's his chance and I hope he does well!

Well My Grandma's surgery went well and she is slowly but surely on the road to recovery. The best news is that the biopsy came back benign so she doesn't have to do the chemo like last time! Thursday is her birthday and we are going to have Chinese food and cake at our house. Just low key but still celebrating.

Ugh I didn't realize this had gotten so long! I better quit for now and Ill put anything I missed in the next time I post!

Long, Long Easter Day

Today has been a long, long day! Starting with Dylan not going to bed until almost 11:30pm last night. That's what happens when he takes naps these days! He also was up at 7:00am Im assuming from excitement that the Easter Bunny had stopped by.

Dylan with his and Landon's Loot!

Landon was a little slow getting up Easter morning.

Landon checking out his goodies!

Landon getting help from his big brother!

We went over to Grandpa and Grandma's house about 9 to start the big hunt! Dylan and Landon were both ready to go. This year Tyler was with his dad so Kirstin, Dylan and Landon had a lot of hunting to do.

Dylan getting ready to hunt at Grpa and Grmas!

Landon and Mommy are hunting machines!

We also went over to Brendon's parent house and ate dinner with them and hunted eggs but for some reason don't have any pictures. I think at the time we thought we had lost the camera somewhere in the car. We eventually found it obviously! Anyways it was a very long day! But a good time was had by all!

The Weekend Before Easter

Well this weekend we decided to go to an Easter Egg Hunt at a local park. Last year we went to William Land Park and lets just say it didn't go well. We got lost and there were a ton of people!
This year was sort of the same. We didn't get lost but there was a ton of people and we had to wait 30 minutes for the hunt with an anxious 3 yr old and a cranky 3 month old. The hunt lasted all of 20-30 seconds! Anyways we still had a good time and here's a few pictures!

Dylan anxiously awaiting the countdown to hunt!

Landon and Me waiting for everything to start!
